Natural materials can vary from one production lot to another, and even within the same lot may show differences in shade, colour, and veining.

Therefore, samples should be considered purely indicative. The structure of natural stone may also present different aspects; the fissures of breccia type stone and the vacuolar structure of travertine require resining and grouting.

The phenomenon of "tarolo" (small hole) is present in white Carrara marble (please see our pages of F.A.Q.). The considerable impurities typical of marble of sedimentary origin (Biancone, Perlino rosato, etc.) and the stains and concentrations that can be found in numerous types of granite are characteristics that must be accepted, as they are inherent to the natural structure of the material. 

Many types of natural stone do not permit polishing but only smoothing of the surface.
